Genie TV and ENA bring a new series, Starry Night (Namib), towards the end of 2024. The Go Hyun-Jung and Ryeoun drama has recently announced a new cast line-up joining the show.

Starry Night tells the story of a mother named Kang Soo-Hyun, the CEO of an entertainment agency. Due to her past mistakes, she has been fired from her position. However, she receives severance pay and can buy out a trainee, Yoo Jin-Woo. Soo-Hyun becomes selfish thinking about her child’s welfare. So, she decides to train Jin-Woo and sell him to another firm. With that money, she can run a new business.

Eventually, Soo-Hyun sees Jin-Woo’s potential and drops her selfish plan. She then decides to support and guide the trainee genuinely.

Go Hyun-Jung, Ryeoun & more added to Genie TV K-drama Starry Night cast

Aside from Go Hyun-Jung and Ryeoun, Starry Night will also star Yoon Sang-Hyun and Lee Jin-Woo in supporting roles. The 18 Again actor will play Soo-Hyun’s husband Shim Jun-Seok and Jin-Woo will essay the role of her son, Jin-U.

The upcoming drama is expected to be emotional with a heart-touching storyline. Filmmakers Jung Da-Won and Han Sang-Jae will co-direct the series. Interestingly, it will bring Ryeoun and Jun-Seok back together on-screen after 18 Again. They played a father-son duo in the 2020 series.

Last year, Ryeoun won hearts with his terrific performance in Twinkling Watermelon. He is also set to appear in another challenging role in 2025 in the drama, Weak Hero Class 2. The young actor has also worked in other dramas, such as Doo Teob’s Pretty Easy School Life, Instant Romance, 365: Repeat the Year, and Adult Trainee.

On the other hand, Hyun-Jung has appeared in dramas, including A Love Without Fear, Spring Day, The Queen’s Classroom, Mask Girl, and Reflection of You.

Meanwhile, the two Korean actors will lead Starry Night, which will air on Genie TV and ENA.
