American gymnast Jordan Chiles just finished a successful campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics, notching gold in the team final and bronze in the floor exercise. Now, the 23-year-old athlete is turning toward the next chapter of her gymnastics future.

Chiles will return to UCLA for the final two seasons of her collegiate eligibility, she announced on the "Today" show Thursday morning.

"You all have been waiting for it. I am returning back to UCLA to represent the Bruins for my two remaining years of college," Chiles said. "You guys will see me back in Pauley this season."

Chiles spent the first two seasons of her NCAA career with the Bruins. She recorded three medals at the 2023 national championships, including gold in the uneven bars and floor exercise.

Chiles hinted at this announcement earlier this week.

“You never know. I might have the four letters (UCLA) across my chest. You might see me in '28," Chiles said, via Olympics.com. "I just say stay tuned.”

Chiles' collegiate career will be over by time the Los Angeles Olympics roll around in 2028. In a very familiar environment, the three-time Olympic medalist will look to further her Olympic legacy.

Smart girl. I think in her future she’d make a phenomenal coach in her sport or a sports psychologist, you know, if this whole gymnastics thing doesn’t work out for her
