Cate Blanchett Stars in New Teaser for Alfonso Cuarón’s “Disclaimer” at AppleTV+

Four-time Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón's next project, Disclaimer , is set to release later this year on AppleTV+, and the streaming service has uploaded a first-look teaser of what's to come.

Based on Renee Knight's novel, Cuarón's Disclaimer will be told in seven chapters and stars Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline and Lesley Manville, as well as three-time Oscar nominee Sacha Baron Cohen and the one-time nominee Kodi Smit-McPhee.

As per AppleTV, Disclaimer 's synopsis reads:

Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realise she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets.

As Catherine races to uncover the writer's true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys her life and her relationships with her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee).

The one-minute teaser from AppleTV+ doesn't give anything away, but it does introduce us to all the key players while demonstrating the stunning visual language and setting the series' tone.

Disclaimer is set to premiere on AppleTV+ on October 11.
