Seeing the world through the eyes of a kitten instantly puts life into perspective. They approach life with a sense of curiosity and joy that makes everything else seem less important. Take, for instance, Wagyu, a former shelter kitten whose first taste of sunshine is absolutely mesmerizing, reminding us all to take a breath and feel the sun on our skin (or fur)!

The recent TikTok video shared by @thebeefbrothers shows little Wagyu enjoying a slice of the sunshine-coated floor, and we should all be so lucky to feel what he feels! Take a look!

The joyful 16-second clip captioned, "From shelter kitty to sunshine sleuth!" shows the black kitty taking in every bit of sunshine warmth while rolling around on the floor. By the look of pure relaxation on Wagyu's face, it must be soothing his soul. Even big brother Kobe—who wasn't the biggest Wagyu fan at first—checks it out!

This rescue kitten's first experience with a "sunshine patch" was a success! There's plenty more in his future now that he's in a home of his very own.

"A tiny void enjoying some sun. Love it," one follower commented while hundreds of others showed support by hitting the "love" button.

Wagyu gets it: how can you *not* feel happy in the sun?! It heals every time!

Reasons To Adopt Black Cats Like Wagyu

Black cats are notorious for being looked over at shelters and humane societies despite how cute they are. Reasons they're not adopted as much or as quickly are because people think they're less friendly and more aggressive, they believe in superstitions, or they they can't read the emotions of a black cat. But these reasons have nothing to do with who these cats really are!

Countryside Veterinary Clinic says among the reasons to adopt a black cat , saving a life tops the list. The longer they're in a shelter, the more likely they'll be overlooked. But that's not the only thing to take into consideration.

Black cats are known to be playful, fun-loving, and full of energy with amazing personalities. Plus, research suggests they have "an evolutionary advantage due to their natural camouflage" and may be less prone to disease than other felines. Talk about cool! And these little cuties are actually considered good luck in many cultures, so if you're superstitious, remember that!

Thankfully, Wagyu found a loving home where he can enjoy all the sunshine his little heart desires. If you're on the hunt for the purrfect companion, check your local shelter for a black kitty like him!
