There's nothing more exciting for Oreo fans than the release of a a new limited edition flavor. From mud pie to churro to a Sour Patch Kids -inspired version of the classic treat, these cookies are usually only around for a short time...leaving Oreo lovers with nothing but sweet memories when they're gone.

Sometimes, though, these flavors come back around—and one of the most popular Oreo varieties ever is making a triumphant return for the fall.

As food influencer Markie_devo announced in an Instagram post on August 8, Pumpkin Spice Oreos are heading back to stores at last.

"Alright, now you can pull out those darn UGGS. It’s happening!! One of Oreos best limited edition flavors Pumpkin Spice is back in action. Heading to stores nationwide that carry the Oreo brand on 8/12. Spotted at Dollar General early.👀," Markie_devo captioned the post, adding, "Excited for this return."

The news was met with excitement by several pumpkin spice enthusiasts in the comments.

"Mmm I didn’t get to try these last year 😭," wrote one person.

"Yay! 🎃😀," raved a second Instagram user.

However, not everyone was happy to hear about the relaunch.

"I love pumpkin spice everything, but I feel like I remember trying these and they were underwhelming at best. I could be mixing up the flavors though," one commenter shared.

Oreo is far from the only brand to be hopping on the pumpkin spice train this month. As Parade previously reported, on August 1, Markie_devo announced the introduction of 7-Eleven's new Pumpkin Spice Slurpee. Slurpee drinkers had mixed feelings about the frosty, fall-themed beverage.

"Omg yess! I have to try the slurpee!" wrote one person, while a second Instagram user commented "leaving a hot NO bc of that slurpee 😂."

My husband is almost obsessed with candy cane ice cream. The ice cream is usually just available at Christmas time. If I see it at are go to store HyVee, it’s a mile from our house. HyVee & Walmart have the brand he likes best. I tell him to buy at least a couple a time because they sell out quickly. Also if I ask if I could try some he’s like no because his favorite. 😒
