‘White Males Have Gone Through the Roof!’ Trump Boasts About How Well He’s Polling Against Kamala Harris

During a press conference at his Mar-A-Lago estate on Thursday, former President Donald Trump told a reporter that he was polling really well with “white males” since Vice President Kamala Harris became his opponent.

The question was about Harris entering the race impacted Trump’s strategy to court Black voters. He offered up a rambling answer about how well he’s polling in various demographic groups including Black women, Black men, Hispanics, Jews, and especially “white males”:

Well, it changes around a little bit. I’m getting other voters. Perhaps, you know, I was doing very well with Black voters , and I still am. I seem to be doing very well with Black males. This is according to polls, as you know. It’s possible that I won’t do as well with Black women, but I do seem to be doing very well with other segments. Extremely well with Hispanic, Jewish voters, way up. White males, way up . White males have gone through the roof. White males way up. Now, I don’t know.

All we’re doing is giving you the stats that you have. It could be that I’ll be affected somewhat with Black females where we’re doing pretty well. And I think ultimately they’ll like me better because I’m going to give them security, safety, and jobs. I’m going to give them a good economy. We have a very bad economy right now. We could literally be in the throes of a depression, not recession, a depression. And they can’t have that. They can’t have that. So I think I’m going to do well with everybody, especially when the facts are out.
