Auburn Football 'In The Thick Of It' For 5-Star OT Andrew Babalola

The Auburn Tigers are right there in the thick of it with a 5-star prospect.

Andrew Babalola, the nation's No. 4 offensive tackle in the 2025 class, is one of Auburn's top prospects. According to Steve Wiltfong with On3, the Tigers are in the thick of it with his recruitment.

"Don’t sleep on Hugh Freeze and company. On3 is hearing the Tigers are one to watch with a decision timeline fast approaching and that we need to start talking more about the SEC program with a potential commitment coming soon," Wiltfong wrote. "Oklahoma is having their regular dialogue with Babalola as well. Missouri is still swinging. But there is some buzz around Auburn right now."

The Stanford Cardinal were the favorites earlier this year - On3's recruiting prediction machine currently gives the Cardinal an 88.8% chance to land Babalola - but things have begun to change through the summer.

"Stanford looked like the favorite coming into the summer. They could still win out but it’s still competition" Wiltfong wrote. "It’s getting exciting as the elite prospect tries to shut it down."

Babalola is the No. 4 offensive tackle, the No. 15 overall player, and the No. 1 player in the state of Kansas according to On3's composite ratings. Offensive line coach Jake Thornton is the Tigers' primary recruiter in this battle.

"I don’t think anyone around The Plains felt Auburn was ever out of it. As Freeze and company make a run at a special 2025 class, Babalola could be part of it."
