David Peterson takes the ball for the rubber game of the series. Peterson has been very solid for New York. He is coming off a very solid start in Los Angeles.

The left hander gave up two runs in six innings, but still took the loss.

New York won eight consecutive of Peterson’s starts. However, they have lost his last two. We will see if they can right the ship today.

The Mets’ offense was lacking going into the series. The goal was that they would find their bats in the hitter friendly elements of Coors field. It has yet to happen in the first two games of the series.

The Mets have not hit a home run in 18 innings at Coors Field. We will see if they can finally breakout today.

Here is how the Mets lineup today.

    1.) SS Francisco Lindor

    2.) 2B Jose Iglesias

    3.) DH J.D. Martinez

    4.) 1B Pete Alonso

    5.) 3B Mark Vientos

    6.) C Luis Torrens

    7.) RF Jeff McNeil

    8.) CF Harrison Bader

    9.) LF Tyrone Taylor

Brandon Nimmo gets the day off against Austin Gomber. Vientos is back in the lineup with the lefty on the mound.

The Mets are throwing their first lefty of the series

The Rockies changed their lineup accordingly after using the same lineup in the first two games.

    Here is how they lineup.

    1.) SS Ezequiel Tovar

    2.) 2B Brendan Rogers

    3.) CF Brenton Doyle

    4.) DH Kris Bryant

    5.) C Jacob Stallings

    6.) 1B Michael Toglia

    7.) RF Hunter Goodman

    8.) LF Sam Hilliard

    9.) 3B Aaron Schunk

The Mets will be very happy to see Ryan McMahon out of the lineup. He has played some of the best consecutive games at third base that the Mets have ever come across.
