Team USA faced Serbia in the semifinals of the 2024 Paris Olympics in an electrifying clash for a place in the gold medal game. While the U.S. registered a 95-91 win, it was far from a cakewalk.

Nikola Jokic and his team held a commanding 13-point lead at the end of the third quarter. Fortunately, the trio of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant came up big in the clutch, scoring USA's final 13 points for a comeback victory.

One common source of frustration among the fans was Steve Kerr's questionable rotations throughout the contest. Even Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green called out his head coach for it.

Green wasn't happy with Kerr's rotations

Team USA 's roster is loaded with talent, as James, Curry, and Durant are still some of the best players on the team. However, Kerr stuck to his rotations despite the team's third-quarter struggles and benched the trio.

This led to Green posting a series of tweets on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Considering LeBron and Steph are in the twilight years of their careers, Kerr may have assumed the duo was tired. Green was certainly against the notion that the veteran superstars were exhausted despite the mileage on their bodies and the effort they were putting in throughout the game.

Team USA vs. France for gold

Despite a few hiccups, Team USA ultimately qualified for the gold medal game. The star-studded roster will face off against Victor Wembanyama's France for a shot at winning their 17th gold medal in the Olympics.

With Curry, James, and Durant in excellent forms throughout the tournament, the U.S. squad is certainly the favorite to win it all. However, fans cannot rule out the dynamic duo of Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert, who, together with other guys on the roster, should guarantee an exciting matchup.

France is coming off an excellent 73-69 win against Germany. As for Team USA, they can be happy that Joel Embiid finally found his form, finishing with 19 points against Serbia.

Still, it will all boil down to LBJ, Curry, and KD and how they perform on the biggest international stage. And based on how they led their squad to a huge comeback victory against the Serbs, USA fans have every right to hope for another gold medal finish.
