When Anna wasn't competing in track events for the University of Florida, she could be found with her tennis star boyfriend Ben Shelton, but they have since parted ways - and now fans are wondering more about her personal life and journey to the Olympics.

    Who is Anna Hall?

In addition to being known as Shelton's ex-girlfriend, Hall, who was born on March 23, 2001, in Denver, Colorado, is known for her career as a track athlete.

She specializes in combined events and has been representing Team USA since 2019.

Over the years, she has competed in several events, earning silver in the heptathlon at the 2023 World Championships and the bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships.

Additionally, in 2022, Hall was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Outdoor National Women's Field Athlete of the Year and made the All-SEC Indoor First Team as well as the All-SEC Outdoor Second Team while competing for the University of Florida Gators.

It is believed that Hall met Shelton while they were both competing at the university.

She graduated in May 2023 with a BBA in finance and is often seen posting about her life on Instagram to more than 300,000 followers.

When did Ben Shelton and Anna Hall break up?

When Shelton and Hall were together, they often kept details of their relationship out of the public eye.

They rarely shared pictures of each other on social media, so fans weren't too shocked when news of their split was first announced.

It's unknown when they officially parted ways, but Shelton revealed that news during an interview with Tennis Unfiltered podcast host James Gray.

"I'd done quite a lot of research for once and just a couple of minutes before someone said, 'Oh, you know [Shelton's] dating an athlete?' I said 'Oh is he? What'd she do?' [they said] 'heptathlete.' I looked her up, Anna Hall ... one of the best in the world," Gray recalled during a separate interview with tennis coach Calvin Betton.

"The third or fourth question was like 'Oh, so you're obviously on tour in Europe for the first time, but you know, you must have, it's nice to have your Mrs. She's obviously going around Europe on tour as well' because she had just turned pro or just went on the pro circuit.

"And [Shelton] looked over at the press guy he was with and smiled. He's like 'Actually we broke up like a couple of weeks ago."

At the time of publication, neither Hall nor Shelton has publicly commented on the split. They were together for nearly a year and a half.

Hall is now rumored to be dating NFL star Joejuan Willlams, a former second round pick of the New England Patriots.

He is currently a free agent having most recently been with the Minnesota Vikings.

Will Anna Hall go to the Olympics 2024?

Hall is used to being in the winner's circle, but one event she has yet to compete in is the Olympics.

She attempted to qualify at the 2021 trials but ended up colliding with a hurdle and breaking a bone in her foot, which instantly shattered her Tokyo dreams.

While Hall might've missed out on the chance to compete for Team USA on the world's biggest stage, she has not let that one incident slow her down.

"The injury was a really big inflection point in my career," she recalled during a 2023 interview with Olympics.com.

"I honestly don't think I would have done what I did last year had I not gotten injured. As much as it hurt and I was so upset and I cried for months and I felt so bad for myself, I really think, honestly, that was God's way of showing me, ‘Okay, you need to change the way you're looking at track.’”

When Hall recovered, she went on to win both indoor and outdoor NCAA titles, as well as praise from two-time Olympic heptathlete champion Jackie Joyner-Kersee.

"Anna, that fierce competitor, she kept pushing and didn’t give up," Joyner-Kersee said during an NBC broadcast after Hall won her bronze medal.

"She’s young and I just can’t wait to see what her future is going to be like in this event.”

After winning the heptathlon at the trials in Eugene, Oregon, Hall earned her way into the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
