THIS mind-boggling optical illusion has puzzle fanatics stumped and struggling to find the answer – but do you have what it takes?

What you notice first in the brainteaser will reveal whether you’re a sharp or gullible person.

Do you see a penguin or a man’s head? Your answer will determine your skill set
    The Minds Journal

Everyone can see the imposing penguin stood up against a blue background.

It’s not clear what the penguin is doing but it has a black dot on the centre of its belly.

But what’s also pictured in this complex illusion is a man – what do you see first?

It might seem a bit daunting at first, but the key is to carefully examine the water bird and you’ll soon spot the head of a man.

Meanwhile, why not try some other optical illusions while you scroll?

Test your brain power and solve the questions in this test to reveal if you have a high IQ.

Or, see if you have the eyes of a predator and spot the sneaky animal concealed within the carefully sketched image.

The arctic bird is certainly easier to spot but if you tilt your head slightly to the right, you’ll see a man with a strong resemblance to Elvis Presley .

The dip in the penguin’s belly serves as a ridge for a very flat nose.

And the creature’s black head looks like a quiff.

How can optical illusions and brainteasers help me?

ENGAGING in activities like solving optical illusions and brainteasers can have many cognitive benefits as it can stimulate various brain regions.

    Some benefits include:

    • Cognitive stimulation : Engaging in these activities challenges the brain, promoting mental agility and flexibility.
    • Problem-solving skills : Regular practice enhances analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Memory improvement: These challenges often require memory recall and can contribute to better memory function.
    • Creativity: They encourage thinking outside the box, fostering creativity and innovative thought processes.
    • Focus and attention: Working on optical illusions and brainteasers requires concentration, contributing to improved focus.
    • Stress relief: The enjoyable nature of these puzzles can act as a form of relaxation and stress relief.

And according to ZenBuisness: “These visual puzzles can give you a good mental workout that can, in turn, help you think more efficiently and solve problems more easily.”

If you first spot the penguin you are super sharp with a keen intuition and high levels of emotional intelligence.

You probably also have a good amount of wisdom and are a firm believer in patience.

But if the first thing you spotted was a male with a likeness to the legendary rock and roll singer, you may be less gullible and easier to please.

While you’re less likely to rely on your gut you are also more innovative and have a knack for problem solving.

Psychologists at The University of Glasgow found that staring at an optical illusion can improve eye sight by allowing you to see small print.

Escape London says puzzles can also give your mind a great workout and may “boost your brain’s activity” which “reduces the risk of dementia.”
