Dunkin Donuts in Kissimmee, Osceola County, faced a temporary closure due to several violations identified during an inspection on July 29, 2024. The popular coffee and donut shop, located at 3745 Pleasant Hill Rd, was ordered to stop operations after inspectors found rodent activity, evidenced by 20 droppings under a seat in the front lobby.

    What Happened During The Inspection?

This high-priority violation led to an administrative complaint, necessitating immediate action to address the problem.

The inspection also highlighted other concerns, including the improper storage of toxic substances, with chemicals found hanging on a prep table, and an intermediate violation where a handwash sink was not accessible for employee use, as it was obstructed by cleaning equipment.

These infractions contributed to the decision to temporarily close the facility until conditions improved.

A follow-up inspection on July 30 confirmed that Dunkin Donuts had met the required standards, allowing the establishment to resume service. This quick response was crucial for the community, as the coffee shop holds a considerable place among locals, despite its 3.4-star rating from 539 Google reviews.

The speedy resolution of these issues underscores the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in food service establishments, ensuring customer confidence and satisfaction.
