The 2024 College Football season is about to begin, but a few top tier recruits are still announcing commitments ahead of their final high school seasons. One of the highest rated recruits yet to commit in the country is Andrew Marsh, a wide receiver from Fulshear, Texas. He's a consensus Top 60 player in the nation, and all the major schools have been after him for years now.

Marsh announced this week that he's down to just five schools and he'll be committing on Tuesday, August 20th. Where will he be headed? Apparently it's down to Michigan, Texas, Colorado, USC, and Washington.

    Andrew Marsh, Special Wide Receiver

When watching Andrew Marsh play it's easy to think he isn't nearly as fast as he is thanks to his long strides and forceful route running skills but he's a track athlete with elite burst. Marsh can high jump nearly six and a half feet, posts elite track times in the 400 meters, and plays with much greater physicality than expected from a receiver who weighs less than 180 pounds.

Marsh has been locked in as a Top 100 player in the nation for over two years now as one of the best 7-on-7 flag football stars in the nation and a consistent producer on the high school field coming off a season with almost 1200 yards and 15 touchdowns. He wins consistently against any and every level of opponent, showcasing his special hands and athleticism on just about every single play. He'll find early success regardless of where he chooses to play his college ball.

    Likely Andrew Marsh Landing Spot

Many experts in the recruiting industry have Andrew Marsh predicted to join the Michigan Wolverines as his commitment date nears. Not only did he visit Michigan twice in June, but he also chose to join Michigan at their big BBQ at the Big House event in July as well. Marsh had already visited with the Wolverines several times prior to the summer as they had been gaining momentum over the last year.

However, if Marsh does chose to go anywhere else it's likely going to be his in-state school of Texas. He's visited with the Longhorns several times as well, including his second to last official visit in June. Steve Sarkisian and Texas just landed a commitment from five star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett this past week, but they're in need a top tier second wide receiver in the class.

Washington, Colorado, and USC are all three technically in the mix as a part of his top five and if there's a true "surprise" school Marsh goes with USC is likely the one. His Washington and Colorado interest has been minimal at best over the past year based on visits, comments, and social activity. The Trojans, on the other hand, hosted him in early June and have prioritized nearly a half dozen unofficial visits in the last year and a half or so.

In the end, Michigan's recent success at the highest levels winning a championship, clear opportunity to step in as a top target from day one next fall, and the evidently strong relationships Marsh has there likely get the job done. But don't count out Texas as they have been making pushes to steal recruits late in the process throughout this cycle too.
