Steph Curry Makes Big Simone Biles Admission

It’s well-known that Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is a fan of U.S. gymnast Simone Biles.

But his admiration for the 11-time Olympic medalist goes a little deeper than simply appreciating her athletic ability. Curry was recently asked by NBC Sports Bay Area reporter Kerith Burke who makes him feel star-struck. His answer: Biles and American hurdler Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.

Biles saw the shoutout from Curry, reposting it on her Instagram story Friday morning.

Curry praised Biles following her gold-medal win in the women’s all-around final last week, as well as teammate Suni Lee, who won bronze in the event, showing an appreciation for the duo for their ability to deliver elite performances in high-pressure moments.

“I’ve watched [gymnastics] on TV but never been in the arena before,” Curry told reporters at the time. “To see that athleticism, the clutchness of Simone and Suni in that moment, knowing what they had to do and going out and doing it was absolutely incredible. They are ridiculous to watch. To see that athleticism, it’s insane.”
