While exploring San Antonio, we stumbled upon a hidden gem called Bayseas Catfish House, a little unassuming spot that might be easy to overlook. But as the saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover. What this place lacks in curb appeal, it more than makes up for in flavor and hospitality.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the warm, welcoming staff who made us feel right at home. The menu had a comforting Southern charm, and we decided to try a bit of everything. We ordered the kids' fish nuggets, a catfish and shrimp platter, a catfish platter, and a meatloaf plate. Let me tell you, the portions were beyond generous—you could easily share them with a friend or two.

The food was simply outstanding. The catfish was fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the shrimp was equally delicious, with just the right amount of seasoning.
