Catalan separatist leader Puigdemont says he is in Belgium

MADRID (Reuters) - Catalan separatist leader Carles Puigdemont said on Friday that he was in Belgium and never had the intention of surrendering himself nor facilitating his arrest.

"I'm in Waterloo after extremely difficult days," he wrote on X.
