As the Dallas Cowboys navigate contract negotiations with star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb , the team's front office remains confident that Lamb will continue his career in Dallas. On Thursday, Stephen Jones , the Cowboys' executive vice president, made it clear that the organization has no intention of letting their top receiver play anywhere else.

Speaking on the Doomsday podcast, Jones shared that talks between the Cowboys and Lamb's agent have been “cordial,” with both sides working diligently towards a mutually beneficial agreement.

“We think the world of CeeDee, and we understand where he’s coming from on this,” Jones said. “But we also continue to work very hard on getting this deal done. There is zero, zero, zero thought process of not having CeeDee be a Dallas Cowboy. CeeDee’s not going to be playing anywhere but Dallas.”

Despite these reassurances, Lamb’s absence from team activities has not gone unnoticed. The receiver, who is holding out while seeking a long-term contract, has yet to appear at the Cowboys' training camp. His actions, including scrubbing “America’s Team” from his social media, have sparked concern among fans, particularly after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ comments about the “no urgency” in the negotiations. However, Stephen Jones emphasized that progress is being made and expressed optimism that Lamb will report to the team, ideally with a new contract in place.

Lamb , who is scheduled to make $17.991 million under his fifth-year option, is coming off a career-best season where he recorded 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns, earning All-Pro honors for the first time. The Cowboys recognize his value and are committed to ensuring he remains a key part of their offense moving forward.
