I think this is operated out of a ghost kitchen in the Dawsonville, Ga area because we can't find an actual brick and mortar establishment for this restaurant, though apparently, there are physical locations in the Atlanta area. It pops up on Uber Eats for our location, so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did. We love standard Chinese American comfort food like most do, but what we love more is the traditional Asian food that is slowly making its way into the North Georgia food scene. Up until recently, we had to go to Lawrenceville or Atlanta to get authentic bao or really anything authentically Asian food-wise. Don't get me wrong; there are a lot of really great Asian restaurants around here, but none that actually served bao or featured it as a speciality.

My only regret is that I didn't take better pictures of last nights dinner so I can only really explain in words just how good it was. We ordered the Sharing Combo, which feeds 2-3 people (it was perfect portions for 2). The sharing combo comes with six bao (2 teriyaki chicken, 2 bbq pork, 2 spicy Mongolian beef) and 12 ginger chicken steamed potstickers. We added two chicken egg rolls, which is the only option they provide. Our food was delivered in a timely manner but we weren't ready to eat, so it sat for a bit. When we were ready, I popped the bao and the dumplings into a steamer basket for a few minutes and reheated the egg rolls in the toaster oven. How well food reheats is always the "tell" of how good a restaurant is, as well as how fresh the ingredients are that goes into the making of that product, in my opinion. We are late eaters so rarely will we eat anything as soon as we get it.

The baos were the softest, juiciest, pillowy, meat stuffed bundles of deliciousness I think we've ever had. All three flavors were wonderful though my favorite was the bbq pork, while my husband thought the teriyaki chicken was the winner. This isn't to say the Mongolian beef wasn't awesome also... it was! But that goes to show just how good ALL the baos were. The potstickers were also perfectly cooked, with a flavorful filling, as well as the egg rolls. If my husband had one negative, it was that he prefers veggie egg rolls and that wasn't an option at Wow Bao.

Combo price was $36, egg rolls were $7.99 for two. The price of the egg rolls might be a little high based on the prices at other establishments for the same item, but taking into consideration these were definitely handmade and not frozen we would pay it again. Overall, this was a solid dinner choice and we are planning to add it to our usual rotation. We're so glad to have this new addition to the restaurant scene on the 400 Corridor.

What is the name of the restaurant? No mention in the article? Did I miss it?
