This banana bread is super soft and just the right amount of sweet, with delicious Nutella swirled right through the middle. Every bite is absolute bliss. It hits that sweet spot that makes you crave more and more. We polished off the first batch in just two days! And, it's only the two of us. Seriously it is that good!!

    Ingredients you will need:

Flour - For this recipe, you can use either bleached or unbleached all-purpose flour.
Baking soda - acts as a leavening agent, keeping the bread from being too dense.
Seasonings and Spices - Kosher salt, cinnamon, and vanilla are all about enhancing the flavor of the batter.
Butter - we usually go for melted butter in this recipe, but oil works too. Canola, vegetable, coconut, or corn oil are all good options. Still, butter really brings a nice taste to the bread.
Plain yogurt - adds moisture to the bread (sorry for that!). If you have Greek yogurt or sour cream, those can be swapped in as well.
Ripe bananas - are key here. They not only give the banana bread its flavor but also help with moisture and texture.
Eggs - are essential too; they provide structure and stability to the batter while adding moisture.
Granulated sugar - is perfect for this recipe. Brown sugar will work too, however, wite sugar really lets the banana and nutty flavors shine through.
Chopped pecans - are optional. If you like your banana bread smooth, feel free to skip them. We enjoy the crunch, so we add in some toasted chopped pecans, but walnuts or hazelnuts would be great too.
Nutella - is just a delicious chocolate hazelnut spread you can find in most grocery stores.

    Measured Ingredients:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
    • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
    • 1 1/2 cups ( about 3 medium) ripe bananas, mashed
    • ⅓ cup plain yogurt (Greek yogurt or sour cream)
    • 2 large eggs, room temperature
    • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
    • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
    • ⅓ cup chopped toasted pecans, optional

    Directions:

    1. Start by placing a rack in the middle of your oven and preheating it to 350ºF. Spray 9x5 loaf pan with cooking spray, and set it aside.
    2. Next, for the batter, take a small bowl and whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
    3. In a separate medium bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, bananas, yogurt, eggs, and vanilla. Once that’s all combined, pour the dry ingredients into the wet ones and stir it up. Add in the pecans and gently fold everything together until it’s just mixed.
    4. Pour half of your batter into the loaf pan, then dollop in ⅓ cup of Nutella. Add the rest of the batter on top, followed by another ⅓ cup of Nutella. Take a butter knife and swirl the Nutella through the batter, making sure to reach almost to the bottom of the pan.
    5. Bake it for about 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick poked in the center comes out mostly clean with just a few crumbs.
    6. Once it’s done, let the bread cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before moving it to a wire rack to cool completely.
    7. Enjoy Responsibly!
