Stretch mine as far as it will go before investing in a new system. Besides a monster 32 core 96GB ram 2TB SSD should last me a while.

Written by someone with very little experience.... If you understand what you're doing, you'll likely be able to upgrade your processor twice, max out your ram and upgrade your GPU before you have to get a new motherboard. In the same amount of time you'd probably go through 3 or 4 laptops.
