Ingrates. I wish I had F-35's stationed near me. We only have F-15's. I still wouldn't complain, but I just found out the F-35 is the loudest fighter jet we have. It's four times louder than the F-15 and F-16. Think about that. $100M± "stealth" airframe, yet it's twice as loud as an F-15. And twice as slow. It's only that loud when the afterburner is engaged. And the F-35 doesn't need to use the afterburner for take off or to reach altitude. So I don't really know what they're complaining about. By the time they kick in the afterburner, they're already five miles high.
