My wife and I are retired and avid cruisers, we’ve been cruising for decades. We don’t take short 3 or 4 day cruises, for many reasons. We have taken 7 cruises so far this year and all were 2 or 3 weeks in length . We enjoy coming home, sleeping in our own bed, not having to worry about clean cups or clean utensils. Getting to actually see our family face to face not FaceTime. Not being awakened by teenagers running down the ships hallways and yelling at 2am. Inconsiderate passengers that allow their cabin doors to slam at all hours, just to mention a few frustrations that many cruisers complain about. There are many facets, some to be appreciated and others not. Would we live on a cruise ship? Absolutely NOT! No matter how much of a “people person” you are, we still, all need our periods of solitude. That can be difficult or even impossible to attain on a ship!
