Denver, South Dakota State, and Omaha were the top three teams in this year's preseason poll, with Oral Roberts coming in fourth. The Coyotes finished the 2023 regular season fifth, behind the four teams ahead of them in the preseason poll.</p><p>South Dakota opens its' season on the road at Northern Iowa Thursday afternoon. The home opener is Sunday against Morningside at 1 p.m. The Summit League opener for the Coyotes is at St. Thomas on Sept. 26.
