    Blotter for Aug. 14

    Salisbury Police reports

    • Crystal Dawn Kyles, 44,  allegedly contacted Salisbury Police on Monday, Aug. 12, asking for assistance. She told officers her brother had supplied her with methamphetamine and she suspected he was trying to poison her. Reports say she asked police to come and test the drugs to see if they contained fentanyl. Kyles was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

    • An assault in the 2000 block of Statesville Boulevard was reported at 11 p.m. Aug. 10.

    • Property damage from a hit and run in the 500 block of Lincolnton Road reportedly occurred between 9:15 and 10:55 a.m. Aug. 10.

    • A larceny in the 300 block of South Arlington Street reportedly occurred about 7:10 p.m. Aug. 10. Total estimated loss was $62.

    • Vehicles were reportedly entered in the 1000 block of Terrace Drive just after 3:30 a.m. Aug. 11.

    • Property damage from a hit and run at Motts Powersports, Inc. on North Main Street reportedly occurred between 6:05 and 10:15 a.m. Aug. 11.

    • A larceny in the 1000 block of East Innes Street reportedly occurred between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 11. Total estimated loss was $20.

    • Property damage from a hit and run in the 300 block of South Arlington Street reportedly occurred between 12:30 and 4:52 p.m. Aug. 11.

    • David Lucas Dyson, 33, was arrested Aug. 10 and charged with resist, delay or obstruct of a public officer.

    • Jerome Raheem Soogrim, 28, was arrested Aug. 10 and charged with resist, obstruct or delay of a public officer.

    • Shonda Michelle Ford, 45, was arrested Aug. 11 and charged with second-degree trespassing.

    • Thamera Tahiquita Smith, 28, was arrested Aug. 11 and charged with simple possession of a controlled substance.

    Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

    • A motor vehicle was reported stolen from Belk Road, Mt. Ulla sometime between midnight and 5:45 p.m. Aug. 11.

    • A woman on Crawford Drive reported someone pointed a gun at her just after 11 p.m. Aug. 11.

    • Taylen Amare McDowell, 21, was arrested Aug. 11 and charged with possession of .5 to 1.5 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
