    Frozen Sweets Festival returns for 2024

    The 2nd annual Frozen Sweets Festival, New Orleans' first ice cream festival is back for 2024 on Sunday, September 15th, from 10 am to 6 pm.

    This festival combines unique and delicious frozen sweets with fun entertainment for the whole family, including live music, circus entertainment, an ice cream eating contest, ice cream queen and king, food and craft vendors, and much more. From classic snoballs to inventive ice cream flavors, the festival showcases the creativity of local small business vendors.

    Come out to the newly revovated Broadside in Mid-City and check out the frozen sweet treats from vendors that include Big O’s Original Pops, Lil Dustin’s Italian Ice, NoLa Cookie Co., Gelato Bros, Meyer’s Frozen Lemonade, and more.

    This year, there will be a kids’ golf zone provided by First Tee, circus performances by Yellow Box Circus, music from the band Bad Habits, Free face painting by Airbrush Me, and more.

    Mike Graves, festival organizer and owner of ice cream company, bof bars said, “I want to provide a fun event for all kinds of dessert lovers and showcase a slice of our amazing culinary scene in New Orleans. Don’t worry! The Saints away game will be playing on several TVs.”

    Although the festival is free, although a suggested donation of $10 from adults is encouraged to First Tee New Orleans.

    First Tee is a 501 nonprofit organization with over 150 different chapters. In New Orleans, they work with youth ages 5 to 18 teaching life skills and core values through the game of golf. Skills learned include understanding and managing emotions, resolving conflicts, setting up step-by-step goals, planning for the future, appreciating diversity, and fundamental golf skills and techniques.
