The Baltimore Ravens officially announced that star tight end, Mark Andrews, was involved in a car crash "early Wednesday morning." Luckily, Andrews did not suffer any serious injuries.

Additionally, Baltimore revealed that Andrews is due to return to practice soon. The star tight end was allegedly on his way to the Ravens' practice facility when the incident occurred. The good news is that Andrews will be fine moving forward and it doesn't sound like he'll miss any games.

Nothing was mentioned of anyone else being involved in the car crash. Andrews released an official statement but provided no details about how exactly the accident happened. Overall, he seems thankful to be okay and healthy.

"I appreciate everyone's thoughts and well wishes. This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing seatbelts and remaining alert while driving a car."

More details regarding the car crash may surface in the coming days. As of now, there are no serious injuries reported. Andrews will likely return to practice later in the week or after the weekend. Either way, the star tight end should be good to go for the Ravens' season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 5.

Andrews plays a large role in Baltimore's offense. He's served as one of the top passing options for superstar quarterback, Lamar Jackson. Andrews is considered one of the best tight ends in the league. Last season, the Ravens' star struggled with injuries but still managed to record 45 receptions for 544 yards and six touchdowns.

The Ravens will likely help Andrews as much as they can. Whatever injuries he may have sustained don't seem to be a problem for the short or long term. So, we should expect Andrews to return to practice soon.

As for Baltimore, the franchise is hoping to remain healthy throughout the entire 2024 season. The Ravens are looking like a prime threat in the AFC, especially after signing superstar running back, Derrick Henry in free agency.

Between a high-powered offense and a stout defense, the Ravens are a team to keep an eye on in the AFC North. Last season, Baltimore finished with an impressive 13-4 record. However, they lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Conference Championship. The Ravens came one game away from a Super Bowl appearance.
