Lex Luger was one of the biggest pro wrestling stars in the ’90s, yet, despite this fact, he has never been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. While the reason for this remains unclear, Luger has himself speculated it may have something to do with the tragic death of Miss Elizabeth, who overdosed from a mixture of drugs and alcohol while they were dating in 2003. However, during a recent interview with Bill Apter , he revealed that if WWE were to honor him, he would pick Sting to induct him.

“Well, obviously, Stinger would be a great choice. Pops in my mind first, for sure.”

Luger and Sting became close friends while working together in WCW, and it’s known Luger credits him with saving his wrestling career. This is because back in 1992, Luger had a head-on crash with a car while riding his motorbike, and doctors didn’t think his right arm could be saved. However, Sting had thankfully gone to the hospital to visit Luger, and when he heard talk of amputation, he called orthopedic surgeon Dr. Andrews, who intervened and subsequently saved Luger’s arm.
