Film Screening for ''Barbie'' Movie Located in New Canaan

''Barbie'' fans we have a fun afternoon lined up for you! On a Friday, August 16, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm the New Canaan Library will have a screening of the blockbuster film ''Barbie''. The movie screening will take place at 151 Main Street, in New Canaan, Connecticut. It will be screened in the Craig B. Tate conference room and you must be 16 years and older to attend. Please register on the website, and remember, wearing pink is not required but it is encouraged!

The movie ''Barbie'' takes place with lead characters Barbie and Ken having the time of their lives in a vibrant and seemingly perfect world that is Barbie Land. When they have the opportunity to have a normal, real life, they soon discover all the promise and pitfalls of living among humans in the real world. The movie includes music, dancing and a great time for all Barbie enthusiasts.

It is based on the fashion dolls made by Mattel and is the first live-action Barbie film. It stars Margot Robbie (photo above) as the title character of Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken. The film follows a journey of self-discovery through Barbie Land and the real world. The film made $1.446 billion at the box office and was the highest-grossing film of 2023. It is also the highest-grossing film that was ever released by Warner Bros.,
