With the injury to Shane Buechele, the Buffalo Bills had a very obvious need for the team's third quarterback role.

Ben DiNucci - the former quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos - was quickly signed to fill that role.

Now, the former JMU product is looking at what could potentially be his final year as an NFL quarterback and needs to learn Buffalo's new offense quickly to better prepare for the upcoming road ahead.

"The fact that I'm able to come out here, I was golfing Sunday morning, and then all of a sudden, Bills call me and I'm here, you know, 24 hours later," DiNucci said Tuesday. "So, very appreciative, very grateful. I don't take this lightly, right? There's three guys on every team right now. So there's 96 guys in the world who get to say this is their job. So I'm really excited for myself, to go show other guys what I can do."

DiNucci has appeared in a single game throughout his short run in the NFL. He has a completion percentage of 53% and has yet to throw an NFL touchdown yet.

While the now 27-year-old signal-caller is unlikely to see the field this year, he could provide a nice backup role behind Mitchell Trubisky and, of course, Josh Allen.
