A thoroughly modern mansion is currently the priciest pad in historic Charleston, South Carolina.
The 6,700 square foot, 5 BR, 7BA compound — built in 2021 — hit the market earlier this month, sporting a price tag of $13.5 million, Mansion Global first reported.
“100 Murray Boulevard really is special, as contemporary homes in the city’s historic district are incredibly rare,” agent Leslie Turner of Maison Real Estate, who holds the listing , told The Post.
“Older homes oftentimes come with a lot of ongoing maintenance but, with this property, you are surrounded by all of the charm that Charleston is known for while getting a stunning, turnkey residence,” Turner explained.
The residence was built in 2021 by Akim Anastopoulo, a personal injury lawyer. The legal eagle had a brush with national fame in his role as a judge meting out extreme punishments on National Lampoon’s 2004 to 2009 television courtroom spoof series, “Eye for an Eye” — netting him a Daytime Emmy nomination.
In 2018, Anastopoulo paid $1.93 million for the lot — just across the street from a promenade overlooking the Ashley River — and demolished a 1960s-era residence to build his own dream home.
In addition to a prime location, the four-story main house offers a slew of amenities — on the lowest level alone, there is a gym, office, home theater and billiards room. The second story contains the kitchen, living room and dining room, while the bedrooms occupy the top floors.
As well, there is a guest apartment with its own kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom behind the primary home, accessible via elevator or the patio.
In terms of al fresco features, there’s a pool, deck, outdoor kitchen and lounge area.
“For entertaining, it’s fantastic because you can open up the whole house and the pool is right there as opposed to being down in the yard, away from the house,” Turner commented to Mansion Global.
“To have a pool that’s really integrated into the design of the house is what’s more special about it.”
