2/3 vinegar, 1/3 water in a spray bottle. Spray feet, lower legs and hat and shoulders if going under trees because ticks drop on you. Repeat every 2-3 hours. Ticks hate it and can't get away fast enough.

I have not had an issue with ticks this year in Maine
