    Don't mix apples and bananas, Christian churches Communion is different than Catholic Communion. we believe in transubstantiation. they don't.

    The Catholic Latin Rite allows Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers in parishes that have a shortage of priests and/or deacons. I have a layperson distribute the Sacred Blood nearly every Sunday, potentially also the Holy Eucharist. Extraordinary Ministers are approved by the Vatican and at my church the EMs are very reverent. It’s not a big issue to me!
