    'Neither of us feel interested': More Americans don't want kids, and it's not just because of the money

    it's because people have become so selfish and lazy that they have no desire to do for any potential.offspring. THEY have always been the ones taken care of, God forbid they should do ot for the next generation!

    Guess I must be the exception. I was a divorced Mom, made dinner almost every night, where we ate as a family, I raised 2 boys, kept my own home in order, very clean and repaired, worked 40hr a week, attended school activites, Boy Scouts, sport events and tried to do as many day trips during their time away from school. I checked their homework nightly and took them to doctors, dentists and orthodontist. Sure I had no personal life like parties, dating, just doing nothing etc but that is what a parent does. I had no family help, their father was not a active person in my sons lives, but my sons are successful, responsible and capable adults with their own families. I am very active doing things with all my grandsons and enjoy every minute of it. I remarried when my sons were in their early 20's. Had a great 22 yr marriage until my husband passed. I regret nothing and enjoyed being a Mom.
