Ozzy Osbourne has been dealing with various health issues in recent years, but that won’t stop him from attending his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist this year. The Metal Madman has issued a statement confirming he’ll be at the ceremony, which takes place October 19 in Cleveland.

Osbourne will become a two-time inductee when he’s honored at the event, having previously been welcomed into the Rock Hall as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006.

“It’s still hard to believe I’m about to be a two-time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,” Ozzy said in his statement. “I’m really looking forward to attending the induction ceremony in Cleveland this October. More importantly, I am so blessed to have had such an incredible career with amazing fans who have stuck by me through thick and thin over the years.”

More About the 2024 Rock Hall Induction Ceremony

As previously reported, the 2024 Rock Hall ceremony will be held at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland. The other artists who will be inducted this year in the Performer category are Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Dave Matthews Band, Kool & the Gang, Mary J. Blige, Cher, and A Tribe Called Quest.

As with last year’s ceremony, the 2024 event will stream live on Disney+. A highlights special will air on ABC at a later date, and will be available on Hulu the next day.

Tickets for this year’s Rock Hall ceremony can be purchased now via a variety of outlets, including StubHub.

Regarding Possibly Performing at the Rock Hall

It’s not clear if Osbourne is planning to perform at the Rock Hall ceremony. In a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Ozzy Speaks podcast, he insisted he would like to perform again, while revealing that he continues to struggle with his health. Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease more than 20 years ago, and he also is being treated for serious back issues.

Osbourne’s most recent public performance took place in September 2022 at the NFL Kickoff event at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Ozzy sang “Crazy Train” and the title track of his 2022 solo album, “Patient Number 9,” at the event.
