I won a life-changing lottery jackpot and gave my family $4 million – now I’m torn because they want even more

WINNING the lottery is a dream scenario for millions of Americans who buy tickets.
But lotto luck doesn’t always turn out quite as rosy as some imagine.
One major lottery winner recently shared how his family dynamics have changed thanks to his supposedly lucky win.
The winner anonymously shared the story on Reddit .
It was posted in the r/offmychest community, where people make confessions.
They titled their post, “Won lottery but my family has ruined the good vibes.”
BAD VIBE
The multi-millionaire said they gave $2 million to their sister and another $2 million to their mother.
Add another million given to close friends, and that’s $5 million gone.
“We have 1 million in our mutual bank account for property taxes and living expenses since we have quit our jobs,” they said. “The rest of the millions is in a high yield savings account and we will be able to live off of interest for the rest of our lives (it is a more modest sum than you think) without touching the original winnings.”
However, despite their donations to the family, relatives thought it wasn’t enough.
“My sister and mom think we’re being selfish for not giving them more money,” they said. “They’re asking for a family beach home on top of the money we’ve give but we frankly don’t want to do this.
“They have also told other aunts and uncles of mine of my lottery winnings and they are constantly asking me for money and it has caused me great anxiety,” they said.
They added that they didn’t want to feel like the family’s “ATM machine.”
“I am just torn and now I know why they say more money more problems,” they said.
Commenters supported the winner in the dispute.
“So lemme get this straight,” one said. “You were the lottery winner, therefore you can choose where it goes.
“You chose to give EACH of them 2 million which is already a f**king lot. And now they demand more from you and call you the selfish one?”
That comment got over 1,000 upvotes.
Another said the relatives seemed entitled.
“2 million is life-changing, especially in the current economy,” they said.

LUCKY LOSERS
Some others have shared stories of their troubles after winning the lottery.
One player won a whopping $110 million on the lottery.
I read this the only thought was wow! What would I do in a situation like this? Honestly I have no answer because I am a giving and caring person but I also noticed in time of helping others that it is not always the same when you need help in return later on. But I’m not going to throw jabs and call anyone selfish. Family is family regardless and I’m not saying helping them is ok or doing what they ask is ok because I think I would just sit them down and let them know that you think you have helped plenty enough and you just want to enjoy it yourself. You most likely have worked hard your entire life and now you can finally enjoy some peace of mind knowing you don’t have to work so hard and your bills are paid! YOU DESERVE THAT!!! YOU!!! NOT ANYONE BUT YOU! So enjoy it and just ignore them if it is an easier option because you might have a hard time communicating with them due to how they are acting but they as family should understand that when you love someone you never ever do this

Wow, That's a selfish family you have there! You wouldn't have had to give them anything. At this point I'd tell them that they are not getting another nickel! The nerve of some people!
