Mike Elko’s newest toy set to reek havoc on the SEC conference in 2024

If you love 6-4, 285-pound pass rushers who consistently win outside track, while having just insane power to work with, then you’ll love Nic Scourton . He has been one of the more underrated defenders in college football, lost among a struggling Purdue football team last season. During that campaign, Scourton quietly had 50 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and one forced fumble.

Now entering his first season in the SEC with Texas A&M , the Texas native has a chance to put himself on the national stage. The Aggies will hope to deploy the talented pass rusher, giving head coach Mike Elko a stellar performer off the edge. He will team up with fellow defensive lineman Shemar Turner and Shemar Stewart to form one of the best defensive lines in the SEC.

Scourton will have matchups against some of the best offensive tackles in college football, including Will Campbell, Emery Jones and Kelvin Banks. That will give the talented defender the chance for continue to raise his draft stock. He will be battle tested by the end of the season.
