Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan 'split' as she becomes 'frustrated by his partying'

Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have broken up, according to reports .

After a charming and sweet relationship, including a Met Gala debut, Sabrina reportedly broke it off over Barry's alleged habits. It was reportedly Sabrina who dumped the actor after she got fed up with "his drunken partying."

The pair's relationship started in a flurry of rumors before their iconic red carpet official moment. Once they went public, the couple weren't afraid to flaunt it with Barry arriving front row and center for Sabrina's electrifying Coachella performance as he was caught totally blushing over a simple wave from his girl.

Now, though, the couple are reportedly over. An insider told The Sun : “Barry acts like an idiot when he is drunk and Sabrina was getting increasingly frustrated.

“He has always been a party animal and Sabrina was fed up with his antics. She is soaring in the charts and is putting herself first as she gears up for her tour next month.”

Sabrina is vocal about not wanting a man to ruin her reputation, being strategic about who she dates. The pop princess refuses to tolerate a relationship that could bring her down, according to her own song Please Please Please which was released just months ahead of the break up.

On the track, which Barry stars in the music video for, Sabrina sings: “Please, please, please don’t bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so nice. Heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another. I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherf----- Please, please, please.”

Whether or not the song was written about Barry or a prior flame is yet to be confirmed. However, given the new allegations of drinking, some lyrics became incredibly suspicious., potentially being a warning to Barry. She sings: “Whatever devil’s inside you don’t let him out tonight. I tell them it’s just your culture and everyone rolls their eyes. Yeah I know.”

Another sign previously pointed to the relationship ending when she posted a suspicious TikTok. “Me saying goodbye to him because I wasn’t his number one streamed artist," she captioned a post just days before the news broke.

The Mirror contacted representatives for Sabrina and Barry for comment.
