This wasn't Europe but in Thailand. I came out of a mall with a lot of shopping bags and a guy asked if I needed a tut tut (taxi). I was only going 2 blocks but said yes. He said 30 baht and walks me to the tut tut being driven by someone else. Get to my hotel and driver says 80 baht. I said no, 30. He said I call police. I said go ahead. Of course he didn't and drove off with 30

I was in Budapest about a month ago and took an Uber from my hotel to a riverboat. It cost me about 20 dollars. On the way back I took a cab that raised the tariffs and tried charging me about 65 dollars. I refused to and told him to call the police and whatever they told me to pay I’d pay. He replied that it would take two hours where I replied that I had nothing to do and I’d wait. That pinned him. I gave him a 20 and told him to go F himself. Don’t let them take advantage of you!!!
