Caitlin Clark Goes Viral After Receiving Unusual Technical Foul

Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark made history Sunday afternoon after breaking the rookie assists record against the Seattle Storm . But the tempers flared as well after Clark reacted out of frustration, slapping the padding under the hoop for being mad at herself.

Oftentimes a normal reaction across the NBA and WNBA . However, she received a technical foul for it.

Clark's technical foul is now surfacing the internet. Barstool's Dave Portnoy's post about it has surpassed 165,000 views in less than thirty minutes of being posted.

This was her fifth technical foul, and by the rules in the WNBA, if a player receives seven, it is a one-game suspension, which is the last thing the Fever need as they are in the backend of a playoff race with just over ten games remaining on the season.

Clark is also gunning for the rookie of the year award against Chicago Sky's Angel Reese , and both players are having astonishing rookie seasons. Both were all-stars and have surpassed monumental milestones throughout the year.

However, Clark will need to start keeping the technical fouls at a minimum as she nears the league's threshold.
