WEST BARNSTABLE, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – A woman was reportedly extricated from her vehicle after it crashed into the woods on Route 6 last evening, according to emergency radio transmissions. At around 10:30 p.m., state troopers and West Barnstable Firefighters responded to westbound mile marker 65.1 for a single vehicle crash into the median. The woman was sitting up on a stretcher, conscious and speaking with first responders when HN arrived on scene. She was lifted into a West Barnstable FD ambulance and transported to Cape Cod Hospital. (There did not appear to be any other occupants on scene.) The Massachusetts State Police is investigating the cause of the crash.
