Amoretti's journey reportedly began in 1989 when Jack, Ara, and Maral Barsoumian founded this family business. Its portfolio now includes nut pastes, marzipan/almond paste and butters, natural fruit artisan pastes and compounds, extracts and concentrates, Craft Purée, beverage infusions, and premium flavoring syrups. The Oxnard, California-based company now reportedly offers over 3,500 products to bakeries, ice creameries, chocolatiers, craft beverage manufacturers, restaurants, hotels, bars, and directly to consumers. Baking In The American South by Anne Byrn

With 200 recipes and more than 150 photos coming from 14 states, Baking In The American South has the biscuits, cornbread, cakes, and rolls that will help you bake like a Southerner, even if you are not one. Its author, Anne Byrn, is a New York Times bestselling food writer and author. She also writes the weekly newsletter Between The Layers, reportedly one of the top 20 food and drink newsletters worldwide on Substack.

Happi by Wana Brands

Happi, a leader in hemp-derived beverages, changed the cannabis beverage game when it debuted its THC seltzers in 2021. In turn, per the brand, "there is a Happi for any occasion" via its variety of award-winning flavors available in a range of doses from 2.5mg to 10mg.

Hand-crafted by fifth generation mezcalero Juan Antonio Coronel, Tres Tribus’ Espadín is ideal for sipping or in cocktails.

Cooked in an underground conical oven lined with volcanic stones, Tres Tribus’ Espadín captures the cornucopia of flavors from the maguey and complements them with a delicate smokiness. Rich herbaceous notes along with lemon and orange, hibiscus, peppermint and chocolate are slowly developed during fermentation in unique underground amphoras designed to regulate the fluctuating mountain temperatures. Using pristine water from the nearby Tidaá volcano aquifer and a hand-built still that incorporates local elements from the region, Tres Tribus’ Espadín presents clean, complex aromas and flavors.

Great new offering aside, Tres Tribus' four celebrated expressions have helped the brand win the IWSC's "Agave Producer of the Year" honor, in addition to the organization’s most prestigious prize, "Spirits Producer of the Year." In addition, Tres Tribus’ Ensamble has won Gold Outstanding with 98 points, and the Tobalá won Gold with 97 points at the IWSC 2023 Spirits Awards. Separately, Tres Tribus’ Espadín Capon received a 99-point rating from Tasting Panel Magazine.

Faces To Hide reissue of Afterimage via Independent Project Records

Last but definitely not least... This 22-track retrospective from “LA’s Joy Division” (per the L.A. Times) combines previously released tracks and recently unearthed live and demo tracks from the early line-up of these 1980s post punk cult pioneers. Coming out on September 20, 2024 via Independent Project Records, this compilation chronicles the short life of Afterimage, an undeservingly-overlooked group.
