Louisiana Festivals & Events Happening this Weekend: August 22 through August 25

Celebrate duck hunting this weekend.

The children are going back to the classroom, and although it doesn't feel like it in Louisiana, that means fall is just around the corner.

The Duck Festival in Gueydan offers the opportunity for a good, end of summer, time.

Gueydan Duck Festival - Gueydan - August 22, 23, 24, 25

Highlighting the hunting heritage of Acadiana, the annual Gueydan Duck Festival features duck and goose calling contests, skeet shooting, dog trials, duck dash, a cornhole tournament, decoy carving, food, live entertainment, pageants, a parade, indoor and outdoor cooking contests, and carnival rides.

The festival is free and open to the public. Ride bracelets are available each day.
