Parry Shen’s Hilarious Return to General Hospital

Parry Shen posted a video depicting his mad dash to get back to the ABC studios, and how he cleverly gets through security.

We haven’t seen Brad in Port Charles since Epiphany’s memorial in March 2023 on General Hospital, and that’s been bugging us. However, he recently returned to beg for his job back at the hospital despite his rather checkered past working there. His portrayer, Parry Shen, posted a hysterical video capturing his excitement at returning to the sudser, and fans were over the moon for it.

Cleverness Knows No Bounds

Shen shared a hilarious video on Instagram that was set to the Backstreet Boys’ song (Everybody) Backstreet’s Back. It begins with a screenshot of Soap Opera Digest reporting that Shen (Brad) and Rick Hearst (Ric) would be returning to GH, then a fan reposted news of his return, followed by him nearly doing a spit take as he looks at a watch while drinking a soda. He leaps into action, digging through a wicker basket and looking for his selfie stick, which he pulls out and starts to spray mechanical lubricant on the telescoping pole.

Happy that it works correctly, he’s next seen in his car holding the stick with his studio badge hanging from the end of it. He types the address into his GPS, and drives up to the barricading pole. In a clever move, uses the selfie stick to hold his badge out of the car window and activate the machine causing the pole to raise up so he can drive onto the lot.

Things Got Very Silly

Shen had captioned his Instagram post by writing, “Let’s see what’s in store for Brad this time around in Port Charles! #GH.” When one fan excitedly responded with, “That’s fantastic!! Can’t wait for the shenanigans to begin,” Shen continued to show his cleverness by replying, “@ms_wilson_again My last name literally kicks off Shenanigans.”

The conversation got truly silly as another follower wrote, “Omg! Is this real??? My dream come true!!!! 😍🤗,” with Shen hilariously writing back, “@soaplover56 … Like me being back or that badge holder extension stick I built? In any case, they are BOTH real!!” The fan explained that “both” worked and that it was “Nice to see the badge holder extension stick back in action!” (Learn about Brad’s mob connections here!)
