I’m in a similar situation, being elderly and not well, and my wife isn’t well either. But our dog Honeybee was my wife’s support dog when she went through chemo for breast cancer. The cost of living with medical and medication drains us financially. We can’t afford a vet bill, but we would sell anything, or do without ourselves to care for honeybee. She’s given her all to us, loyal to us from a puppy. We owe her and would sacrifice for her like we would our children.
