Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and RecruitMilitary will co-host the National Virtual Career Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT. The event is free for veterans, their spouses, active-duty military personnel, and members of the National Guard and Reserve.
More than 90 employers actively seeking the talents of America’s veterans will participate, representing industries ranging from construction to medical, administrative, and logistics, with career opportunities from entry-level to senior management. In addition to employment assistance, attendees can access career counseling, resume assistance, networking opportunities with fellow veterans and military personnel, and support with Department of Veterans Affairs benefits and claims—all at no cost.
This year, DAV will sponsor more than 90 in-person and virtual job fairs. Since the inception of its employment initiative in 2014, nearly 274,000 people have attended, resulting in more than 167,000 job offers. Last year, DAV developed "The Veteran Advantage: DAV Guide to Hiring and Retaining Veterans with Disabilities" to support employers, dispel myths, and demonstrate the business case for employing America’s nearly 4 million veterans with a service-connected disability. The guide offers best practices and tools for employers and encourages more organizations to consider the veteran talent pool.

DAV’s National Employment Director Lamarr Couser, a service-disabled veteran of the Navy, Army National Guard, and Army, is available to discuss trends in veteran and military spouse hiring, valuable employment-related resources, and job opportunities in the Atlanta area and nationwide. To arrange an interview, contact Couser at 513-470-5260.

    About DAV
DAV empowers veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. It is dedicated to a single purpose: keeping our promise to America’s veterans. DAV does this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them, fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill, providing employment resources to veterans and their families, and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life. DAV, a nonprofit organization with more than 1 million members, was founded in 1920 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1932. Learn more at DAV.org.
