Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s kids three-word outlook toward parents' divorce

The Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck love story has come to an end.

Jennifer filed legal divorce documents on Tuesday, August 20, in a Los Angeles County Superior Court . The two rekindled their love in July 2021 after they dated from 2002 and split in 2004. Ben and Jennifer then got married a year later in 2022 in a Las Vegas wedding ceremony before they celebrated in Georgia with family and friends.

While Gigli stars were separated for 17 years, the two married other people and had children . Jennifer shares twins, Emme and Max, 16, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony and Ben shares three children, Samuel, 12, Seraphina, 15, and Violet, 18, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

The two have always made it clear that their kids were their main focus and come first. The two blended their families effortlessly and even bought a $60 million home in Beverly Hills with 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. Both Ben and Jennifer would be seen spending time with the kids together at amusement parks, shopping malls and vacations.

A source revealed to Page Six that the the kids have been "taking it fine" and "everybody is ready to move on. Before the divorce filling, a source said that Jennifer did not "fully accept it was over" after they blended their five kids. The two were spending time with their kids this summer – Ben in Los Angeles and Jennifer in The Hamptoms.

Jennifer grew a close bond with Ben's three children. Violet was spotted wearing the pink dress that Jennifer wore on a Valentine's Day date with Ben in 2023. She was also seen hanging out with the singers the twins. While Jennifer was spending the summer in the Hamptons, she was also spotted with Violet.

Jennifer filed for divorce on the second anniversary of her and Ben's lavish Georgia wedding ceremony. This also comes days after the This Is Me... Now singer spent time with Ben and his son Samuel in Ben's rented home. She was then spotted leaving Ben's home on his birthday, August 15, despite him being no where in sight when she celebrated her 55th birthday at the Hamptons with a Bridgerton themed party.
