    DeKalb Corn Fest 2024 from 8/23 to 8/25

    The 47th Corn Fest will be held this weekend in downtown DeKalb from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25. This festival will have so many activities that you will be entertained all weekend long. Corn Fest will be opened on Friday from 3 PM to 11 PM CT, on Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM, and on Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM.

    General admission to Corn Fest 2024 is free of charge. The downtown area that will be blocked off will be between First Street and Fourth Street and between Oak Street and Franklin Street. Free parking will be available at Fourth/Locust, Fourth/Grove, and First/Franklin.

    The music soundstage will be located on Locust Street between 2nd and 3rd. You will be able to see the musicians perform in that area for free, or you can pay $10 admission per day for entry into the main soundstage area with the beer garden or $25 for the entire weekend.

    Some of the best cover bands in the Midwest will perform all three days with the exception being the main musical act which will be Sugar Ray on Saturday night between 9:30 PM and 11 PM.

    The carnival will also be operating on all three days with daily unlimited bands being sold for $33 on Friday and Saturday and for $35 on Sunday along with a 3-day unlimited Megaband for $75.

    For children, there will be a Kid Fest that will interactive booths set up by the NIU Stem Outreach along with arts and crafts.

    There will also be a Craft Fest on all three days for those who are looking for unique home decor for the autumn season.

    Make sure that you do not miss the world-famous Chuck Siebrasse Corn Boil on Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM or until the corn runs out.
