“When It Comes To Flag Football, I Know More Than Him” – Professional Flag Football Player Claims He’s Better Than Patrick Mahomes

You have to either be really confident or really stupid to claim you are better at football than Patrick Mahomes. One man by the name of Darrell Doucette is one of those two things (or both), because he's insisting that he's better than the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback - as a flag football player. This all stems from the fact that Flag Football will be an Olympic sport in 2028, and many NFL players are saying they'd love to compete for Team USA. The only issue is that current professional flag football players don't feel like that's fair. Doucette spoke to Bleacher Report about the matter and stated that NFL players need to pump the brakes thinking that they can just step in and represent Team USA in flag football at the Olympics: "I think it’s disrespectful that they just automatically assume that they’re able to just join the Olympic team because of the person that they are—they didn’t help grow this game to get to the Olympics. Give the guys who helped this game get to where it’s at their respect." Fair enough... Though a lot of people didn't agree with Doucette had to say there, he lays out a good argument. Imagine someone training their whole life for a shining moment at the Olympics, and then someone else - who doesn't even play the specific sport they specialized in - getting the opportunity instead of them. However, Doucette is losing a lot of people that might have been siding with him by suggesting that he's better than... Patrick Mahomes: "At the end of the day, I feel like I'm better than Patrick Mahomes because of my IQ of the game. I know right now he's the best in the league. I know he's more accurate, I know he has all these intangibles. Flag football and regular football aren't all that much different. The only real difference is you get tackled in one, and you get flags taken off your waist in another. One is much more physical, and the other one is not. And you can't say you are straight up better than an NFL player (especially someone who has won three Super Bowls) when you play the less physical version of the sport.
