Oldest DNC Delegate Sends Message to Kamala Harris on MSNBC and Declares: ‘I Feel Like Grandma Moses!’

Angie Gialloreto , 95, is the oldest delegate at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and she told MSNBC it makes her feel like “Grandma Moses.”

Gialoreto first attended a DNC convention in 1976 in support of former President Jimmy Carter and she hasn’t missed one since. She could be seen at this event sporting a shirt with the message, “Joe’s girls love Kamala,” as well as a lanyard with buttons from all the conventions she’s attended, including the first nearly 50 years ago.

The Democrat told MSNBC’s Chris Jansing that seeing a woman nominee this year — Vice President Kamala Harris — means a great deal, but she called President Joe Biden “special to me.”

“Women today are not lackadaisical, they’re ambitious. And men, open your eyes, because we are ambitious,” she said.

Asked about “advice” she’d give to Harris, Gialoreto simply offered, “Go girl! Go get them! I’m ready to go with you.”

Jansing told the delegate “everyone” must love her as she continued to spew positivity.

“Well, I sure as hell hope so,” Gialoreto responded to Jansing.

On what it’s like being the oldest delegate at the debate, Gialoreto said she’s inspired to see young people getting so involved.

“Truthfully, I feel like, hey, I’m with the crowd, some 50, some 20, but it’s really encouraging to see the youth and young people come out, and I feel like Grandma Moses!” she said.

“Honestly, I’ve done thousands of interviews in my life. She is right up there,” Jansing said after cutting away from the segment. “One of my favorites.”
