John, increase your rates by 18% per guest and let that be the “pre-paid gratuities”. Don’t give anyone an option. Build it into the price of the ticket! EVERY EMPLOYEE on that ship deserves a tip whether you see or talk to them. I know it’s going to make people mad, but I am going to send an email to John Heald 7 days a week for the next 6 months suggesting this. I see it EVERYDAY on the forums about people complaining about gratuities! They’ll pay $1,200 for an iPhone, $100 for jeans, $150.00 for sneakers, $8.00 a day at Starbucks and the list goes on and on. If you can’t afford a tip, you probably shouldn’t cruise! Raise the rate by 18% and be done with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps the cruise line should pay a living wage to the workers. Not happening, these vessels are foreign owned and operated. American wage laws are non existent.
